Join the Kentucky Nurses Association's Pennyrile Chapter for a CE program, "Building Community Bridges, Inc.: The Nurses Role in the Worldwide Social Indicators of Health," 6 - 7 p.m., Thursday, January 27. Tracy Littlehale, DNP, RN, professor, Madisonville Community College, will present. The Pennyrile Chapter will donate registration fees to Building Community Bridges, Inc., a non-profit organization guided by the profound commitment to raise the quality of life in West Africa by supporting sustainable agriculture and hygiene efforts.  At the end of program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the role of the nurse in addressing social indicators of health;
  • Discuss why global health is of interest to local nurses;
  • Examine how nurses are uniquely qualified to address global public health and
  • Describe how Building Community Bridges addresses the social indicators of health in rural West Africa.

Attendees must stay for duration of the program to be awarded contact hours for continuing nursing education provide license number upon registration and complete an evaluation for the program. Partial credit will not be awarded for any session.
