Join the KNA Heartland Chapter for a CE program, "A Personal Safari: End-of-Life Care," 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 22, OTB Building, Room 234-235, Elizabethtown Community & Technical College and via Zoom. Paul Gerard, III, MD, family practice physician, Baptist Health, will present this offering. Dr. Gerard also is one of the early founders of Hosparus Health Central Kentucky. At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish the difference between the curative care model and comfort care model of medicine;
- Recognize the importance of implementing a conversation regarding a person’s end-of-life goals and
- Interpret the knowledge regarding the care and management of physical and psychological symptoms of end-of-life care.

Attendees must stay for duration of this program to be awarded contact hours for continuing nursing education, provide license number upon registration and complete an evaluation for the program.
