Join the Kentucky Nurses Association and the Kentucky Nurses Action Coalition for a CE program, "Understanding Rural and Farm Stress and the Neurological Impact of Stress," 7 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 17. Paul Norrod, DrPH, MDiv, MA-C, RN, extension specialist for rural health and farm safety, University of Kentucky College of Agriculture and instructor, UK College of Nursing, will present this offering. Dr. Norrod also is a Kentucky Nurses Action Coalition board member. At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify rural mental health challenges;
- Recognize stressors among farming populations;
- Distinguish the effects of stress and
- Discuss the impact of self-care.
