KNA releases legislative recommendations

  • 2022 Legislative Recommendations
    • HB 28: Prohibit employers and post-secondary schools from inquiring about vaccination status. This would SEVERELY alter the ability of nursing schools to facilitate clinical placement. The KNA  STRONGLY OPPOSES HB 28 along with the KHA and other healthcare organizations.
    • The KNA SUPPORTS the following:
      • HB 604: Create the KY Center for Cannabis Research at UK; Allocate funding.
      • HB 573: Healthcare Workforce loan relief program at UKs Center for Rural Health.
    • The KNA OPPOSES the following:
      • SB 376: Develop military reciprocity for veterans in medicine and nursing; erroneously puts nursing regulations under the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure
