The Kentucky Nurses Association is pleased to sponsor the launch of “The Brand Image of the Nursing Profession: Perceptions of Kentucky Nurses During the COVID-19 Pandemic” Study to examine perceptions of the brand image of the nursing profession among licensed nurses who live or work in Kentucky.

Please click the highlighted link to complete the anonymous survey: The Brand Image of Nursing: Perspectives of Kentucky Nurses During a Pandemic Survey (surveymonkey.com) today.

  • The deadline has been extended until Wednesday, June 15.
  • Nurses who participate may be full time/part time employed in (or retired from) any setting where they practice in (or have retired from) a capacity as a licensed nurse (eg. LPN, LVN, RN, APRN, etc.).
  • This study will employ a prospective, descriptive, anonymous survey design. See attached informed consent form for complete details.

Kentucky nurse leaders need to glean a greater understanding of the level of influence branding could exert on the professional choices of nurses to stay or leave the profession. This investigation is of particular importance during the COVID-19 pandemic when the recruitment and retention of nurses has resulted in a critical shortage that was declared an emergency by Gov. Beshear in December 2021.
