Accepting Chapter Liaison applications through July 5!

The Chapter Liaison position is a wonderful opportunity to serve the KNA and work with excellent nurse leaders across the state.  Primarily, the Chapter Liaison works to bridge the gap and provide communication between the KNA Board of Directors and Chapter Chairs through sharing information from the Board of Directors with the Chapter Chairs and chapter activities with the Board of Directors.  The Chapter Liaison serves as a resource for Chapter Chairs and as a mentor for new Chapter Chairs.  Attendance is required for the monthly Board of Directors meeting, which is the first Friday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm, the Membership Recruitment and Retention Committee on the second Monday of each month from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and the monthly Chapter Leadership Meetings on the third Wednesday of each month form 3:30pm to 4:30pm.  In addition, the Chapter Liaison participates in a Strategic Plan Task Force Group and periodically attends chapter meetings and events to support the great work that each chapter is doing in their community. 

I had the pleasure of serving as the Chapter Liaison for two and a half years and truly enjoyed the role.  It was wonderful to work with the KNA staff, Board of Directors, and Chapter Chairs. I hope you will consider the position; it is a very rewarding experience to serve Kentucky nurses.
