HB159 is now a law! Say thank you to legislators and the governor.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  The Governor signed HB159 into law.  HB159, will prevent healthcare professionals from being charged criminally for making a medical error, that makes it good for nurses and nursing and puts Kentucky at the forefront of developing laws to protect healthcare workers.

Thank you for the calls, texts and emails you sent to both representatives and senators to get this bill through the system and ready to become a Kentucky law. Our work is not done quite yet. Please be sure to call, text or email a thank you to the legislature and the governor's office for passing and signing the bill.  This bill is vital to nurses professional health and we want to make sure our elected representatives know how much we appreciate the support and effort they made for us.

The more dialogue and communication the legislature receives from nurses, no matter what that communication is, the more likely we will be able to gain support for future issues.  So please take a moment and say thank you.
