Attention KNA Student Members,

The deadline for the following scholarships, offered through Kentucky Nurses Foundation (KNF), has been extended until August 23, 2024.

To be considered, scholarship applications must be postmarked by Friday, August 23, 2024 . They can also be emailed in a PDF format to KNA at admin@kentucky-nurses.org by close of business on August 23, 2024.

Mildred Metz Scholarship – $2,000 Scholarship awarded to a pre-licensure student, ADN or BSN who is enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing located in Kentucky (pre-nursing students are not eligible to apply). This scholarship is in memory of Mildred Metz, the longtime director of the Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing. Applicant must be a KNA Student Member.

Nursing Excellence Scholarship - $2,000 Scholarship awarded to a pre-licensure student, ADN or BSN who is enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing located in Kentucky (pre-nursing students are not eligible to apply). This scholarship is in honor of all Kentucky Nurses. Applicants must be a KNA Student Member.

Rural Nursing Scholarship - Scholarship awarded to a pre-licensure student, ADN or BSN, or licensed nurse furthering their education who is enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing located in Kentucky (pre-nursing students are not eligible to apply). Applicants must also be a KNA student member/KNA member. This scholarship is to provide financial support to pre-licensure nursing students and licensed nurses furthering their education who are or will be practicing in rural areas of the Commonwealth. Amount of this scholarship will be between $1,500 - $10,000 and is dependent on the funds raised through donations and other fundraising efforts of the KNF.
