A Time for Change: A Vision Without Action Is a Hallucination

This presentation will provide an overview of the state of nursing and health care before the COVID pandemic, discus the mandate to “build back better”, and challenge nurses to lead individually and collectively in healing the health care system.

• Discuss the factors that are contributing to a mandate for nurses to be bolder in their actions to promote their professional interests and the health of populations.
• Identify opportunities for taking action in one’s own career, the profession, in healthcare organizations, and/or society to improve the health of communities.
