Speakers
Professor and Endowed Chair of Nursing Research
Dr. Frances Hardin-Fanning is currently a Professor of Nursing and the Shirley Powers Norton Endowed Chair of Nursing Research at the University of Louisville School of Nursing. Prior to coming to U of L, Dr. Hardin-Fanning was a nursing professor at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and retired from UK in 2017. Dr. Hardin-Fanning’s research, which has been funded by the NIH and philanthropic organizations, focuses on food security issues and healthy eating in at-risk populations. She is on the Board of Directors for the international research Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior and a member of the Midwest Nursing Research Society and Rural Nurses Organization. She is also a former chair of the American Public Health Association Public Health Nursing Policy Committee. Frances teaches in the PhD and DNP programs at the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
